 The dramatic Gobi desert has attracted explorers and adventurers since the old time. Venture into the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park and trek through the canyons and cliffs. Take breathtaking pictures of crimson sunsets and impressive landscapes  Khongoriin Els , one of the most dramatic sand dunes of Mongolia, stretching 180 km long and 3-15 km wide.  Also you can  go to small  lake  neighboring  sand dunes walking in  green   area  carpet   with  iris.  You have opportunity to ride camel .This tour covers Ulanbator  city highlights  and   Genghis Khan’s  Statue  Complex  , Terelj national parks. You will visit nomadic families and you learn a lot from our unique culture and lifestyle. Our  drivers and cooks equipped with outdoor equipment that is made for the type of adventure  .

 TRIP ITINERARY:

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. City tour including a visit to Gandan Monastery, the largest Buddhist Center of Mongolia, followed by National History Musuem, Traditional performance in the evening.  (L.D)

Day 2: Yol Valley /Gobi Desert & Umnu Gobi province

Morning flight to the South Gobi Province (1:20 hours). Explore the Yol Valley National Park in the depth of the spectacular Gobi-Altai Mountain range. Trek to  deep and narrow gorge canyon with rock cliff , many years of water erosion. Besides  its spectacular natural beauty it contains  number of bird species  and animal. Overnight in a ger camp. Day 3: Gurvan Tes / Umnu Gobi province

Drive to Gurvan Tes village . Pass by amazing landscapes of flat steppes and 1,500-1,800 m. high mountains peaks. Overnight stay in tent .(This day journey is 170 km.). (B.L.D.)

Day 4: Khermen Tsav/ Umnu Gobi province

Photo opportunity in one of the most spectacular places of Mongolia Khermen Tsav .

The canyon is full of 30 meters high natural formations of cliffs, and looks like remains of ancient cities and temples,  huge dinosaurs, turtles and crocodiles. As scientists defined it was an inland sea bottom some 200 million years ago. Even nowadays, there are treasure chest fossilized dinosaur bones and eggs lying on the surface of sandy land.

Day 5: Mount Sevrei / Umnu Gobi province

Drive to Sevrei Mountain. This Mountain /2631 m/, one of the highest peaks in the Gobi and considered sacred by local people. Explore Gobi oases and saxaul forests. (This day journey is 190 km.).   Stay overnight in tent .   (B.L.D.)

Day 6: Sand Dunes of Khongoriin Els/ Umnu Gobi province

The Khongoryn Els are some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia.

If you do not want to walk you may choose to go by camel, just behind the sand dune there is a river called Khongor . Khongor river has gorgeously green grass. It flows into Adag nuur. Green grass covering land behind yellow sand under blue sky. Perfect harmony in nature.Stay in Ger camp. ( this day journey is  190 km).   (B.L.D.)

Day 7. Bayan Zag / Umnu Gobi province

Explore the legendary “Flaming cliffs”. This place is  paleontological  and archaeological  site  where  found many rare paleontological  and archaeological  finds such as dinosaurs skeleton and eggs of 70-80 million years . Because of the tourist attraction, there are plenty of souvenirs for sale here. You can also hire camels to ride.   Stay overnight in tent . (This day journey is 160 km.). (B.L.D.)

Day 8. Ulaanbaatar/Terelj

Return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Drive to the Gorkhi-Terelj National park  on the way  stopover in  Turtle rock.  Trekking  and take photo  in area of  spectacular  scenic nature and mountains  .Overnight in a ger camp. (B.L.D.)

Day 9. Ulaanbaatar

Arrive to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Visit the Zaisan war memorial, followed by a visit to the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, a home of the last Khaan of Mongolia , Gobi factory store.Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast depart to airport .
