This tour leads Eastern Mongolia through the various landforms, such as forest , steppe, desert steppe and experience lakes, mineral springs and gently rolling hills as well as flora and fauna of these areas. Further eastwards of Dornod Aimag province near Chinese border. Dornod aimag is the least traveled place despite its rich historical significance and stunningly diverse natural settings. You will also discover Ganga Lake which is a saltwater lake located in Dariganga sum, Sükhbaatar Province, Mongolia. The lake lies on the transition zone between the southern steppes and the Gobi desert.
Mountain Shiliin Bogd is highest in the eastern part, inclusive of extinct volcano , the largest caves in Mongolia, but you have to descend into its subterranean gloom through a narrow crack to witness an outing for the claustrophobic. Sometimes the entrance is covered in ice beginning of summer, the cave feels like a freezer and you’ll need a torch for exploration .Tour covers Ulanbator city highlights , one of the best travel destinations Terelj and Genghis Khan’s Statue Complex national parks. TRIP ITINERARY:
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. City tour including a visit to Gandan Monastery, the largest Buddhist Center of Mongolia, followed by a visit to the National History Museum and traditional performance in the evening. (L.D)
Day 2: Khuduu Aral / Khentii province
Beginning of the adventures. Drive to the Khuduu Aral. . Visit Chinggis Khaan’s Monument and archaeological Museum , Avarga Balgas which is ruin of Mongolian Empire Palace, stop by nomadic families. Overnight in tents. (This day journey is 190 km.). ( B.L.D )
Day 3: Galshir/ Khentii province
Galshir sum is South of Khentii province mostly steppe and hilly grassland. Pass by Bayanmunkh village .We will visit the ruins of an ancient temple. Overnight in tent. (This day journey is 220 km.). ( B.L.D )
Day 4: Bayandelger / Sukhbaatar Province
Bayandelger sum is desert area 1000-1200 meters high from sea level . Geography is steppe and grassland with oases sand dunes .

Day 5: Lake Ganga /Sukhbaatar province
Drive to Dariganga to observe the Altan Ovoo extinct volcano.
The lake lies on the transition zone between the southern steppes and the Gobi desert, giving it a unique landscape of lakes, steppes, and sand dunes. The lake and its wetlands (of which the total area is 32.8 km²) is an important breeding and resting area for endangered migratory birds, including the great crested grebe, the whooper swan, and the ruddy shelduck.

Day 6: Mount Shilliin Bogd / Sukhbaatar province
Explore the amazing Lake Ganga, the 200 m. long basalt caves of Taliin Agui and the 1,777 m. high Mount Shiliing Bogd with a 2 km. wide and 300 m. deep crater. (This day journey is 100 km.). Overnight at ger camp. ( B.L.D )
Day 7: Baruun Urt Town/ Sukhbaatar province
Drive to Baruun Urt, center of the Sukhbaatar Province. We will continue observe scenery semi-desert, and other part of steppe. The aimag is rich in white antelopes. Visit the local Museum of Ethnography. (This day journey is 170 km.). ( B.L.D ) Stay overnight in tent.
Day 8: Choibalsan Town / Dornod Province
This day we drive to Choibalsan Town ,Dornod province bordering with Russia on its north side and with China on the east and south-eastern part. With relatively good infrastructure and transportation . Visit a local Museum of Ethnography and overnight in a hotel. (This day journey is 200 km.). ( B.L.D )
Day 9: Bayanuul / Dornod Province
Bayanuul sum is located in border of Russia .Stop over the Lake Yahi national park ,this area was taken into preservation in 1998 with purposes of protecting the area through which white antelopes and aquatic birds pass. steppe fox, migratory and sedentary birds like bird of prey and vultures, rocky hills, valleys and mountains.
Trek around the lake. Overnight stay in tent near river.

Day 10: River Onon / Khentii province
Camp at the River Onon .The upper Onon river is one of the areas that are claimed to be the place where Genghis Khan was born and grew up. On the Way stop over Chinggis Khaan memorial place monuments . (This day journey is 190 km.). Stay overnight at tent . ( B.L.D )
Day 11: River Tsenkher / Khentii province
Drive to the River Tsenkher. Visit nomadic herder family and explore traditional life style ,such as way of producing traditional alcohol , yogurt, curd, and taste mere’s milk .Stay overnight at tent . (This day journey is 240 km.). ( B.L.D )
Day 12: Terelj/ Tuv province
On the way to Terelj we visit in Genghis Khan’s Statue Complex . After that go to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Terelj National Park is tourist zone has number of tourist camps . Opportunities for hiking and photo sessions in the environs of beautiful rocky mountains. Overnight in a ger camp. (This day journey is 280 km.). ( B.L.D )
Day 13: Ulaanbaatar
Final day of the journey. Arrive in capital city and transfer to hotel. Continue city exploration. Farewell dinner.
