“FISHING CHULUUT”

Driving to pristine rivers, traversing splendid mountains, lush lakeside meadows and regal taiga forests . Mongolia offers one of the last wildernesses in Asia. Imagine camping in colorful tents, lulled by the playful sounds of silver streams and warmed by the mesmerizing flames of the camp fire. This tour including opportunity to see Kharakhorum is the ancient capital city of Mongolia.

There is plenty of water resplendent with colorful fish. The best time of the year to fish is from late August to November.

The major trophies are: Hucho Taimen  a ferocious fish weighing 50 kg or more , Brachymystax Lenok , a Mongolian trout, and Grayling (Thymallus brevirostris).

Other major species are: Pike, Golden Carp, Sig, Amur Catfish, River Perch, Siberian Umber, Roach, Burbot, Ide and Bull Ide.

TRIP ITINERARY:

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. City tour including a visit to Gandan Monastery, the largest Buddhist Center of Mongolia, followed by a visit to the National  History Musuem,  Traditional performance in the evening.  (L.D)

Day 2: Kharakhorum/ Uvur Khangai  province

Drive to Kharakhorum city, Explore magnificent Erdene Zuu monastery temples with grand examples of Buddhist iconography dating back to the 16th century. Visit archeological excavation sites of Kharakhorum ruins.On the way stop over  in Elsen Tasarhai sand dunes , overnight stay  in a ger camp near Kharakhorum. (this day journey is  350 km).(B.L.D)

 Day 3-7: River Chuluut/ Arkhangai province

Chuluut  is a river flowing through the valleys of the Khangai Mountains in central Mongolia, and a tributary of the Ider River. It is 415 km long, the width at the mouth into the Ider river is 80 m, the maximum depth is 3 m. It is usually frozen from November to April.

Full day of fishing  at Chuluut  river.  The peaceful environment offers a perfect opportunity to escape the tension of the city and just relax . Stay overnight in tent(B.L.D)

Day 8: Khugnu Khan/ Bulgan province

Drive to the Khugnu Khan mountain camp. This  area  is  beautiful combination of sand and steppe , mountain . Trekking in 80 km long sand dunes. Authentic Mongolian cuisine served for dinner. Overnight in a ger camp. (B.L.D)

Day 9: Ulaanbaatar

Return to capital city and transfer to hotel. Visit to the  Zaisan war memorial, followed by a visit to the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, a home of the last Khaan of Mongolia , Gobi factory store, Department store  .   (B.L.D)

Day 10: Departure.

After breakfast depart to airport .
